Defender Clark, 17, was named on the bench for the first time in last month's FA Cup defeat at Sheffield United, and 18-year-old midfielder Stavrinou has been captaining the under-18s this season.[LNB]"It's good news for Alex and Jack, although nothing has been signed yet - they've just been told they will be offered a contract," said Academy boss Steve Gritt.[LNB]"The situation the club is in at the moment, not knowing which league we will be in next year, makes things more difficult, so the length of their deals needs to be finalised. Their contracts will probably be sorted out over the summer or towards the end of the season.[LNB]"They know that the club wants to keep them and give them a contract to enable them to continue their careers here, and hopefully show us the promise and potential that we think they've got."[LNB]Callum Christie, Ben Godfrey, Sam Long, Steve Lozano-Calderon, Callum O'Shea and Taylor Sinfield will all be released at the end of the season while a decision on goalkeeper Harry Lee is still to be made.[LNB][LNB]
