But they will come up against a Charlton side who have occupied second place for much of the campaign to date and, despite drawing 4-4 at home to Millwall last time out, are in excellent form themselves and are yet to lose at home this season.
"I think playing a big club, at a big ground, players might fancy it," Paynter told Swindon's official website. "It wouldn't surprise me if we do get a result there.
"You've seen Millwall last weekend score four against them so they can concede goals, which is good.
"It's a nice big ground with a big atmosphere, so I'm sure we'll take numbers down and hopefully we can keep them quiet."
