Spring form is a bonus for Parkinson
Spring has played the last five games, including Saturday's goalless draw with Oldham, in place of the previously ever-present Semedo.
But Semedo is now back in training following a pelvic injury and should be available to face Huddersfield this weekend.
"I thought Matt was tremendous," said Parkinson.
"He's had very little football, and all of a sudden he has played three games in eight days, but I thought he looked one of our freshest players, certainly in the first half. He really showed a determination throughout his play."
