The 18-year-old, predominantly a right-back, was among the substitutes for Charlton's clash with Derby on Saturday after a string of good performances for the reserves.[LNB]And, having overcome serious injury setbacks earlier in the season, he is hoping to secure regular first-team football next season.[LNB]He told the official website: "I had quite a few injuries for the first few months of the season, leading up to Christmas really.[LNB]"Since then I've been fit, done well for the reserves and travelled with the first team, so I've got better as the season has gone on.[LNB]"We'll see what happens over the summer. Hopefully no other right-backs will be brought in and then I can try and stake my claim. I've got another year left on my contract so hopefully I can push on next season and we'll see what happens after that."[LNB][LNB]
