With speculation over the England Under-17 star's future failing to materialise prior to the close of the summer transfer window, Shelvey extended his stay with the League One side until 2012 on Saturday morning.[LNB]The 17-year-old became the Addicks' youngest player when he made his debut against Barnsley last year aged just 16 years and 59 days old and has gone on to make 27 appearances, finding the net five times.[LNB]Manager Phil Parkinson told the club's official website: "We're delighted by the news. I've said all along we want to keep Jonjo and we want him to be a part of a successful team this season and for many seasons to come.[LNB]"It's a really positive step for everyone at the club."[LNB][LNB]
