Charlton manager Chris Powell has been fined and handed a one-game touchline ban by the Football Association for comments he made towards referee David Coote following last week`s 1-1 draw with Tranmere. The Addicks boss felt hard done by after Coote turned down three strong penalty appeals during the second half but has decided against contesting the charge. Powell has been charged with misconduct and will serve his one-match ban against Brentford at the weekend. Meanwhile, striker Paul Benson will serve a four-match suspension after he was dismissed for the second time this season for a tackle on Stephen Gleeson in Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to MK Dons. The club decided on Wednesday they would not appeal against the ban.
