Parky resents financial threat
The Addicks are on the brink of relegation to League One and a number of cuts are being made for the club to survive on less income next year.
Parkinson told the club's official website: "It has been a tough week; a lot of people who have worked at the club for a long time have had letters informing them their jobs are at risk, and that's not nice.
"I said when I took over that my job and the players' job was representing the people who work for the club, but unfortunately we haven't won enough games to help that cause.
"The lads do care; they're a great set of lads and they know they have a responsibility," added Parkinson.
