Parky praise for Addicks rearguard

Christian Dailly, Miguel Llera and Frazer Richardson all completed the 90 minutes despite injury - and centre-backs Dailly and Llera contributed with a goal each as well as the Addicks began their first third-tier campaign since 1981 with a victory. Dailly started despite a rib injury, Richardson declined to come off at half time after taking a knock and Llera played the majority of the game with a bandage following a clash of heads with Chairboys striker Matt Harrold. Parkinson said: "Miguel needed 11 stitches in a real nasty cut and Christian was playing with a damaged rib that he had to have injected before the game and yesterday. And Frazer was injured at half-time when a lesser character would have come off. "We had some really good spirit out there and that's what we are going to need to be successful in this division. "Christian was excellent when earlier in the week we thought he had no chance of playing. That showed what Christian Dailly is all about - in his mind it was never in doubt that he was going to play."
