Parky pleased with young Addicks

Parkinson has hardly had to change his starting line-up in the league this season but handed opportunities to Yado Mambo, Tamer Tuna and Scott Wagstaff against Barnet in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy and was rewarded with a thumping 4-1 win. The Addicks have one or two injury concerns ahead of Saturday's clash with Oldham but Parkinson now knows he can dip into his squad for replacements. "We threw on young Yado, who has been on work experience at Welling United, and he made a contribution," said Parkinson. "He's a colossus of a fella and when he goes for those headers, other players tend to get out of the way, and that's what you want from your centre-backs. "Tamer Tuna really showed us what we see every day in training - that he's got a fantastic football brain and is a very clever player, and Scott Wagstaff obviously scored again so it was a good night for us."
