Parky pleased with a point

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson was in buoyant mood and hailed his side's second-half performance after Paul Benson netted a last-minute equaliser to clinch a 2-2 draw at Plymouth. Summer signing Benson hit his second and third goals of the season, first cancelling out Bradley Wright-Phillips' fourth-minute opener for Plymouth and then denying the home side in the closing stages after Argyle's Yannick Bolasie appeared to have won it with a 25-yard strike in the 81st minute. Parkinson said: "If we had lost that game it would have been a travesty after the way we played, certainly in the second half. "We deserved to win the game, but after going 2-1 down the lads had to find another response - and we did. "It was an excellent header back across by Gary Doherty and Paul Benson was there to finish it. "The second half was probably the best we have played in terms of passing the ball and getting crosses into the box."
