Parky: I won't quit

Phil Parkinson has vowed to fight on as Charlton manager despite the pressure mounting on him following Saturday's drubbing by Brighton. The Addicks' 4-0 defeat was their worst home performance since they were thrashed 5-2 by Sheffield United two years ago - a result which spelt the end for Parkinson's predecessor Alan Pardew. Disgruntled Valley fans called for Parkinson's head at the final whistle but when asked if he would consider resigning, the 42-year-old simply replied: "No!" He added: "Any manager, every week, is under pressure. "If you've been beaten 4-0, I suppose you're going to feel more pressure than if you've won 4-0."
