The Addicks boss was forced to make several changes from the side that beat Wycombe on Saturday due to injuries. Johnny Godsmark struck eight minutes into extra-time to send the Bulls into the second round after Andy Gray had his 62nd-minute penalty saved by Adam Bartlett. Parkinson said: "We came with a team strong enough to win the game but credit to Hereford. They played well on the night and good luck to them in the next round. "I am disappointed to go out of the cup, although we had enough chances to have won."
