Parkinson wants keeper

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson remains hopeful of bringing in a loan goalkeeper ahead of Saturday's trip to Tranmere. An injury to regular number one Rob Elliot has left Parkinson with just one senior goalkeeper in Ross Worner, the recent signing from Woking. Parkinson would be happy to play Worner at Prenton Park but still needs to bring in cover at the very least. "We need somebody in and there are a few options," he said. "Ideally we would like Ross to play on Saturday but there are four or five calls I will be making to determine which way that goes. "We've got until 12pm on Saturday to bring someone in. The timescale isn't the problem, it's getting the right keeper in." Parkinson has ruled out a move for Bristol City keeper Dean Gerken, who played under him at Colchester.
