Parkinson settles for draw

Charlton manager Phil Parkinson was satisfied with a point after his side drew 1-1 with Oldham. Dean Furman's 25-yard rocket on the stroke of half-time cancelled out Scott Wagstaff's 24th-minute strike for the Addicks before Oldham had Jason Jarrett sent off for a second yellow late on, with Jarrett appearing to throw the ball at Parkinson on his way off the pitch. Parkinson said: "Oldham are a good side, their two wins were certainly not lucky and they will upset a lot of teams this year. They are the best team we've faced so far. "It was a bit frantic in the second half but it was full of commitment and we'll take the point and move on." On Jarrett's red card he added: "The lad has got sent off and he can't really argue with it. They were disappointed that we appealed for the foul but any bench would have done the same. "Jarrett's got in trouble by booting the ball at us, but when you get sent off you have to take the punishment. What would have happened had it missed us and gone into the crowd?"
