The hosts created the better opportunities, but leading scorer Jermaine Beckford lacked his usual sharpness. Charlton goalkeeper Rob Elliot also pulled off a flying save to deny Bradley Johnson while, at the other end, promising teenager Jonjo Shelvey headed off target.[LNB]And after the 3-0 defeat at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in midweek, Parkinson was happy to see his side get another point on the board.[LNB]He said: "After Tuesday's result at Colchester it was important for us to get back on track. It was a performance full of commitment, honesty and discipline from us. A point was good but it could have been three."[LNB]Leeds and Charlton are hot early favourites for promotion but Parkinson issued a note of caution.[LNB]He added: "Early-season results would suggest we both have a chance but there is a long way to go. I am sure (Leeds manager) Simon (Grayson) won't be getting carried away either because this division is as competitive as it has ever been."[LNB][LNB]
