Parkinson praises Luton

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson insisted he had not been surprised by Luton's approach to their FA cup tie which ended 2-2. Andy Drury equalised twice to earn Luton a replay after Charlton had edged ahead through Joe Anyinsah and then Johnnie Jackson. Parkinson said: "In the first half it was a 'you attack, we attack' type of game and I thought the shape of our team was too loose. "In the second half I actually thought we tightened up. The two banks of four, which were a lot more solid and on the back of that we got a lot more chances. "We got in some good positions to go and score the third goal. "They've scored a great goal with what I think was their first shot of the second half to earn a replay and fair play to the lad because it was a terrific goal. "Luton didn't surprise me at all. They are near the top of the Conference and are better than most of the teams in the same division, so we knew it would be a difficult game."
