Parkinson defends 'important point'

The Addicks could have gone level with Leeds at the top of League One but were frustrating in the final third and the blank followed on from a 3-0 defeat to Colchester and a goalless draw at Elland Road. However, Parkinson is not getting worried having seen his side score 20 league goals already this season. "I cannot fault our attitude over the 12 games we have played. We are one of the top scoring sides in the league and there is always going to be a period when you do not score," said Parkinson. "It was disappointing, but this may prove to be an important point. I thought a lot of our play was good, we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net."
