Parkinson calls for Addicks to bounce back

Under-pressure Charlton manager Phil Parkinson is demanding a response from his side when they head to Carlisle this weekend. Sections of the Valley faithful were calling for Parkinson's head following the 4-0 defeat by leaders Brighton on Saturday. Parkinson was critical of the Addicks' defending and wants a marked improvement at Brunton Park. "Giving away sloppy goals affects confidence when you're out on the pitch. Now we've got to regroup as a team and make sure we go and put in a solid performance next time out," he said. "We've got better defenders and better players than that. It's not all about on the ball, it's about making sure you do your job whether it's a set-play or another aspect of the game defensively. "If you can't score, you have to make sure you don't concede four goals, because it was too easy for Brighton."
