Parkinson backs Sam to get goals

Sam failed to find the net last term but grabbed the Addicks' second goal after trialist Chris McGready headed them into an early lead. "Lloydy can score. Technically he is a good finisher, and we see that every day in training," said Parkinson. "I often said last year that it's a confidence thing, and I'm sure he can reproduce in matches what he shows during training. Lloydy needed a goal to get him going and I'm really pleased for him." New signings Frazer Richardson and Miguel Angel Llera also impressed Parkinson with steady displays in defence. "Frazer played well and I'm pleased with him and Miguel. They produced two solid performances," he added.
