Over to you: Celtic turn to Mowbray as Coyle counts cost of Parkhead move

Celtic's hunt for a manager has swung dramatically back towards West Brom's Tony Mowbray. On a day of frantic rumour and speculation, a move for No 1 target Owen Coyle stalled just as a deal looked imminent. The former St Johnstone boss was the subject of an emergency board meeting at Burnley's Turf Moor ground yesterday after requesting permission to speak to the Parkhead club. Determined to keep the man who has led them back to the Premier League for the first time in 33 years, however, Burnley offered Coyle a massive pay rise and a contract said to be significantly higher than Celtic's proposal. They also told him he would have to forego his six-figure promotion bonus should he leave.
