Parkinson was fuming with his side's performance after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Northwich Victoria at the weekend, but he had few complaints following the 2-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Southampton on Wednesday night.[LNB]"The lads worked hard and that is all I could ask. We gave an honest performance, stuck with the job in hand and competed all over the pitch," he said.[LNB]"We have had two poor results in the last few days but there is nothing to be despondent about and all we can do is to get back on the training ground and get back to the standards we have set."[LNB]Goals from Wayne Thomas and Rickie Lambert put Saints 2-0 up before Leon McKenzie pulled one back.[LNB][LNB]
