Murty relishing Addicks adventure

24 February 2009 12:09
Murty captained Reading to the title in 2006 but after missing the first-half of the season through a calf injury, he has now been sent on loan with the Addicks where he is embroiled in a relegation battle.[LNB]He said: "Being at Charlton is exactly what I expected.[LNB]"It's hard work, it's intense and physical and very demanding. But I wouldn't want to be here if it was easy.[LNB]"In fact the easy option would have been to stay at Reading and watch the games and play for the reserves but I want to play first-team football and Phil Parkinson has given me the chance.[LNB]"If Charlton get out of this predicament it will be akin to Reading winning the league. It will demand that much of us, but with the attitude we've shown we're giving ourselves a chance."[LNB][LNB]
