Martin boosts Addicks

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson will be boosted by the availability of midfielder Lee Martin when the Addicks take on Southend in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The 23-year-old, on-loan from Ipswich, was denied permission to play in the FA Cup first round goalless draw with League Two strugglers Barnet but could return to the starting line-up against the Shrimpers. Pawel Abbott is pushing for a start after replacing Joe Anyinsah at half-time against Barnet and looking lively up front, only just failing to get on the scoresheet with a header that hit the bar. Kyel Reid could also be pushing for a start following his cameo at the weekend and Ross Worner, Miguel Llera, Jonathan Fortune, Alan McCormack and Akpo Sodje will all be hoping to get a chance but Parkinson has no new injury worries.
