Jackson top of Addicks wishlist

Parkinson is desperate to add firepower to his squad and made Jackson his top target, but any deal involving Addicks frontman Chris Dickson moving in the opposite direction appears some way off. Gills manager Mark Stimson maintains Jackson, who already has four goals to his name this season, is not for sale but Parkinson said: "That's his prerogative. We can only ask the question. "They made a nominal offer for Chris and we've responded by saying we're interested in Simeon, so we'll see if those talks progress. The deal's not dead. We haven't given them a valuation for Chris but what they've offered is not what we want. "Chris is a player who can score goals for us this season. However, he has a desire to play first-team football and he's concerned about his international prospects being damaged by not being in our team. "I've said to him that if he works hard he might get in our team, but I don't want to keep anyone who doesn't want to be here. It's a big season for us and we need everyone pulling in the same direction. Anything is possible, everyone has a price and if the offer is made and we feel it's right, he can go."
