Hibs have confirmed the signing of striker Akpo Sodje from Charlton on an 18-month deal. The 30-year-old, the younger brother of Nigeria internationals Sam and Efe, had fallen down the pecking order at The Valley. He told www.hibernianfc.co.uk: "I'm really pleased to have agreed the move to Hibernian and am excited about the challenge ahead. "Just looking around the city and the stadium, you immediately understand what a big club Hibernian is in Scottish football. "I have been impressed with what the manager [Colin Calderwood] has said about his plans and I want to score goals to help Hibernian climb up the table." Calderwood added: "I'm pleased to be able to bring Akpo to the club, he has a wealth of experience and good physicality. Akpo has played in the English Championship before and will bring something different to our attacking armoury."
