The long-serving centre-back, who suffered a ruptured Achilles against Crystal Palace in late January, played the first half of the Addicks' 3-1 friendly defeat at Forest Green Rovers. "We played Jon for the opening 45 minutes and it was his first action for six months," said Parkinson. "It's been more than half a year since he last played for us, so I'm pleased to see him get 45 minutes under his belt. "He's done well in training, and in terms of the games coming up, Forest Green was the best opportunity to give him a run-out. "Obviously he will be a bit rusty and was feeling his way into it slightly, but he'll definitely come on from that the next time he's out there."
