Formation poser for Addicks boss

Parkinson reverted to 4-4-2 against Huddersfield on Saturday after seeing his side fail to score in their previous three matches and was rewarded with a 2-1 victory, Izale McLeod hitting the winner on his first start of the season. But Parkinson said: "It's too early to say what I'll do for Gillingham. The formation worked against Huddersfield because Izale scored the winner and was a threat behind their defence all game. He keeps defenders on the back foot, and I felt we hadn't done that in the last game. "We're not that naive to think one way of playing, or one group of players, is going to be enough to carry us through the entire season. The team has to evolve as you go along, and you have to pick teams for each individual game. "Teams have obviously been watching us and come with a gameplan, and we have to deal with that. I also felt Izale deserved a chance because he's been a threat every time he's come on. "It worked against Huddersfield, but we will look at Gillingham next Saturday and see what's best again."
