Defender making most of good Fortune

Jonathan Fortune is determined to make the most of his second chance with Charlton. The defender is back at The Valley for a second spell after signing a short-term deal following his release by Sheffield United. "It's great to be back," he said. "I really needed to start playing again and this was definitely the right place to do that." Having worked his way back to fitness, Fortune is now establishing himself in Phil Parkinson's first team and made his fourth successive appearance in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Plymouth. "Against Plymouth, the gaffer said the second half performance was the best we'd played so far," he added. "That's the way we want to play and hopefully that's the way we'll play in the future. It's onwards and upwards from here."
