Charlton v Norwich

01 May 2009 01:17
Charlton midfielders Matt Holland (knee) and Darren Ambrose (thigh) will not be fit in time to play. Grant Basey is out with a hamstring problem. Jonathan Fortune (Achilles), Jose Semedo (ankle) and Andy Gray (pelvis) are long-term absentees. Norwich are set to be without defender Jason Shackell (hamstring) while Lee Croft (calf) is still a doubt. The Canaries will be relegated to League One unless they win and Barnsley lose at Plymouth. Norwich skipper Gary Doherty insists his side believe they can avoid the drop. "Obviously we're all down in the dumps now, but it's not inconceivable for Barnsley to lose at Plymouth and us to win at Charlton," he said. Norwich manager Bryan Gunn told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Well it's likely we will [keep up to date with the Barnsley match], we're just looking at ways we could do that, we know that Radio Norfolk have a feed so that might be one option. "If it's down to supporters then there are delays in reactions and it might affect the players in different ways so I think we will have some sort of information coming back from Home Park. "Then we can decide on the touchline whether to use it to our advantage, but first and foremost we've got to do our job."
