Jackson worry for Addicks

Charlton captain Johnnie Jackson is set to miss the visit of Doncaster.

Jackson is close to recovering from the calf injury which kept him out of last week's 2-2 draw at Barnsley but manager Chris Powell rates him "very doubtful".

Fellow midfielder Dale Stephens will be assessed in training having limped off at Oakwell with a groin injury.

Should Stephens miss out Powell could hand a first start to youngster Jordan Cousins, who came off the bench to score on his Championship debut against the Tykes.

Midfielder Richie Wellens is expected to be fit for Doncaster.

Wellens, who rejoined Rovers this summer after having the final year of his contract settled at Leicester, was forced off with a dead leg early in the second half of the 2-2 draw with Wigan on Tuesday night.

Defender Rob Jones and striker Chris Brown are also thought to be fine after sustaining knocks at the DW Stadium.

Harry Forrester has resumed training and featured in a reserve game on Wednesday but he will not be considered against the Addicks. Fellow midfielder Marc De Val Fernandez continues to recover from a torn medial ligament.
