Kevin Foley and Jordan Botaka to undergo fitness tests ahead of Coventry clash

Charlton manager Russell Slade will hand late fitness tests to Kevin Foley and Jordan Botaka ahead of the Sky Bet League One visit of Coventry.

Irish full-back Foley is carrying a slight niggle, with Adam Chicksen in contention for a first league outing for the Addicks should he fail to recover.

Midfielder Botaka limped out of the Democratic Republic of Congo's 4-0 win over Libya on Saturday before half-time and is also doubtful.

Ahmed Kashi (Achilles) is Charlton's only long-term absentee.

Mark Venus will again lead Coventry following the departure of Tony Mowbray last month.

The former Wolves and Ipswich defender oversaw the Sky Blues' first league win of the season against Port Vale in his first match in charge, and the club confirmed on Friday that he will remain at the helm until further notice.

Venus recalled Lee Burge, Dan Agyei and Andre Wright for his first game and the trio are likely to keep their places.

Andy Rose, Chris Stokes and Kwame Thomas remain sidelined.
