Jackson set for Addicks return

Charlton skipper Johnnie Jackson has an outside chance of returning for the visit of Cardiff.

Midfielder Jackson has missed the last two matches with a calf problem but manager Bob Peeters is hopeful he will be able to feature at some point over the Christmas period.

Peeters is still without left-back Rhoys Wiggins (foot), winger Franck Moussa (knee), goalkeeper Stephen Henderson and striker Simon Church (both shoulder).

Young defender Morgan Fox could drop out of the starting line-up after he was hauled off just half an hour into Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Blackburn.

Cardiff could hand a start to Kenwyne Jones as they look to get back to winning ways.

The Bluebirds were humbled 3-2 at home by Brentford last Saturday, having been 3-0 down within 35 minutes, but Jones caught the eye and grabbed a goal after he was introduced from the bench and could be given the nod from the start.

Kadeem Harris made his full Championship debut for City in that home defeat and the winger is likely to keep his place with Anthony Pilkington not quite ready for a return after a hamstring problem.

Boss Russell Slade is likely to ring the changes with the likes of Sean Morrison and Matthew Connolly hoping to start in a re-jigged defence.
