Onyewu worry for Addicks

Oguchi Onyewu is a doubt for Charlton ahead of the FA Cup visit of Blackburn.

The American defender was due to make his first start for the Addicks at Ipswich on Tuesday, only to pull up in the warm-up with a hamstring strain prior to their 3-0 defeat.

Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson (shoulder), left-back Rhoys Wiggins (foot) and winger Franck Moussa (knee) remain sidelined while right-back Chris Solly could drop out if two matches in four days is too much for his troublesome knee.

Midfielder Callum Harriott serves the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against Cardiff on Boxing Day.

Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer must decide whether to stick with Simon Eastwood in goal or recall Jason Steele.

Eastwood was voted man of the match against Middlesbrough, a game Steele, who this week made his loan move from Boro permanent, was ineligible for.

Defender Tommy Spurr (groin) is set to make his first appearance of the season while returning loanee John O'Sullivan, who was not allowed to play in this competition while at Accrington, could also feature.

Corry Evans is still banned, Jason Lowe (foot) remains a couple of weeks away, Markus Olsson is a major doubt after coming off against Boro, while Ryan Tunnicliffe was recalled by Fulham on New Year's Day.
