Charlton swoop for West Brom stopper Daniels

Charlton have signed West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels on a month's loan as cover for the injured Rob Elliot. Elliot will be sidelined for three to four weeks after chipping a bone in his elbow in training on Tuesday. Daniels, 22, will vie with Ross Worner, the only other senior keeper on Charlton's books, to face Tranmere on Saturday.

"He's someone who has played regular first-team football, which was important," said Addicks boss Phil Parkinson.

"He's joined us for a month and we look forward to working with him."

There are also a couple of departures from The Valley with Yado Mambo joining Eastbourne Borough on loan and fellow youngster Ben Davisson linking up with Bromley.
