The Addicks' board chairman and plc chairman respectively issued a joint statement in response to a series of questions posed at a fans' forum on Friday evening. The duo revealed they shared fans' frustrations, but reiterated it was an extremely complex process and that the club"s directors were bound by confidentiality agreements. The statement read: "Talks are still ongoing regarding the purchase of the football club, but due to various legal constraints and confidentiality placed upon all directors of the football club, we are unable to say more than that at this time. "As fans can imagine, the sale of a football club is an extremely complex process with many different components to arrive at a final offer for the transfer of the football club to a new owner, and that is why we have been unable to give any concrete timelines as to a possible completion of such a sale. "We are in talks, but that is as much as we can say at this stage as the directors all come under a signed non-disclosure agreement. We will obviously release information as things progress and we are legally instructed to do so. We are sorry we cannot be more specific."
