Benson double denies Pilgrims

09 October 2010 18:30
Paul Benson`s 90th-minute leveller snatched a 2-2 draw for Charlton and left Plymouth with just a share of the spoils at Home Park. Super-sub Yannick Bolasie looked to have won it for the Pilgrims when he let fly with a brilliant 25-yard strike to make it 2-1 in the 82nd minute. But Charlton deservedly levelled when Benson swept home his second goal of the game from close range following Gary Doherty's deft headed cross from the right. Argyle made a flying start when Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his fifth goal of the season in just the fourth minute. Wright-Phillips crashed the ball home at the far post following Kari Arnason's prodigious throw-in from the left flank.
