Charlton manager Phil Parkinson is still hoping to add at least seven more new faces to his squad ahead of the 2010/11 npower League One campaign. But Parkinson is satisfied with the current progress he has made at The Valley following the recent arrivals of Gary Doherty, Alan McCormack and Johnnie Jackson. He told the club's official website: "We've got a lot of spaces to fill, but even though we know we've got a lot of work to do to piece this squad together, we've got a lot of options out there to make the squad as competitive as we can. "It's taking shape and I'm pleased with the players we've re-signed and the ones we've got in. "But there's a lot of work to be done before we get a squad we're happy with and which our supporters deserve. We still need another seven players and we're working hard to achieve that." Elsewhere, out-of-contract striker Deon Burton has joined Azerbaijan side Gabala, who are managed by former Arsenal defender Tony Adams.
