Addicks waiting on Semedo

Charlton are waiting on the outcome of their appeal against Jose Semedo's red card ahead of the Carling Cup trip to Shrewsbury. Semedo's three-match ban will begin on Tuesday night unless the FA overturn the decision to send the Portuguese midfielder off for his challenge on Bournemouth's Michael Symes at the weekend. Centre-half Miguel Llera missed Saturday's 1-0 win through suspension and will come back into the squad. New right-back Simon Francis was considered short of match fitness at the weekend and only made a late appearance as a substitute so he should feature more prominently against the League Two side. Left-back Kelly Youga is the only injury absentee with his long-term knee problem.
