Addicks still working on budget

Relegation from the Championship has pitched the club into a financial storm with a deficit of £16million. "It is of paramount importance to get the budget in line because of the loss of the parachute payments and relegation into League One," Waggott told the club's website. "We have had to look at all strands of the business - the administration side, the non-playing side, the training ground, the warehouse, the shop at Bexley Heath, everything. "We are trying to get the structure right so when we embark on the next campaign, when the players return at the end of June, then we are fit for purpose right across the business. It is still on-going." Waggott also admitted JD sports and Cabrini are unlikely to renew their contracts but is hopeful a new shirt sponsor will be secured in the coming weeks.
