Addicks star Sam claims award
Sam helped the Addicks to maximum points from their five league fixtures last month.
Not only did the 24-year-old winger come up with some valuable assists, he was also amongst the goals, with two strikes in a convincing win over Tranmere to help his side end the month in top spot in the division.
Also short-listed for the August award in League One were Simeon Jackson of Gillingham, Jordan Rhodes of Huddersfield and Leeds United's Jermaine Beckford.
