Middlesbrough were reportedly interested in the Addicks midfielder but Bailey, who scored 13 goals last term, has quashed rumours linking him with a move away from the South London club. He told the South London Press: "There were never any bids that came in (over the summer). "I was always concentrating on being focused, doing well and being captain of Charlton. Nothing happened so I'm here and I'm happy to be here." Meanwhile, Addicks boss Phil Parkinson has been nominated for the League One Manager of the Month award after leading the club to six successive wins. Leeds manager Simon Grayson, MK Dons' Paul Ince and Brentford's Andy Scott are also in contention for the prize.
