Addicks duo impress in reserve clash

Charlton will monitor the progress of Joe Anyinsah and Jonathan Fortune following their impressive performance in Tuesday's 2-0 reserve-team victory over Crystal Palace. Goals from Bally Smart and Anyinsah either side of half-time secured the Addicks' victory in the behind-closed-doors friendly at Sparrows Lane. Anyinsah and Fortune got some much-needed match practice following their arrivals at the club as free agents last week. First-team coach Mark Kinsella told the club's official website: "Joe played very well. He held it up well and gave us a platform to play from. "Both he and Jon still need games, but they got another 70 minutes under their belts. We've got another friendly next week and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game at Milton Keynes Dons coming up, so we'll keep tabs on them. "Joe scored, which is always nice for a striker, and Jon got through another 70-odd minutes. He's still a work in progress."
