Addicks boss in upbeat mood

The Addicks currently prop up the Championship table, but having gone 18 League games without a win they have now managed two in their last five and also picked up a point at fellow strugglers Barnsley last weekend.[LNB]Despite his side being eight points away from safety, Parkinson remains confident he can turn their new found momentum into a great escape.[LNB]He told The Football League Podcast: "To win football games you need strong characters in your team especially at Championship level.[LNB]"I felt at times this season the likes of Mark Hudson and Nicky Bailey have almost carried the responsibility of the whole team on their shoulders and we needed some character in there to help those type of players who've worked extremely hard in a struggling team all season."[LNB]He added: "We're all realistic. We know we've got a big task ahead of us but we've got hope. We're working hard to really get ourselves on a run."[LNB][LNB]
