Charlton have confirmed vuvuzelas will be banned from The Valley next season. The Addicks have announced their decision following requests from fans not to allow them into their stadium. Charlton operations director Mick Everett said: "The club has received a large amount of correspondence from fans on the subject of vuvuzelas since the World Cup ended and the overwhelming majority were firmly against them being allowed into the stadium. "It's clear they would be a significant annoyance to many supporters and the club wishes to ensure all fans are allowed to enjoy the game at all times. "Therefore, in the interests of the safety and enjoyment of our supporters, the club has decided that vuvuzelas will not be allowed into The Valley." The likes of Tottenham, Arsenal, Birmingham, Everton, Fulham and West Ham have already banned vuvuzelas from their grounds.
