Zaluska keen for Boruc to stay

Dundee United goalkeeper Zaluska will join the Hoops this summer after signing a pre-contract agreement with them in December. He is good friends with fellow Pole Boruc but is aware he will most likely inherit the 29-year-old's place in the team should the so-called 'Holy Goalie' decide to leave. Zaluska said in the Herald: "I am aware that there is a lot of interest in Artur right now and he may not be at Celtic next season. His future will be determined in the coming weeks. If he leaves, it could mean I will have a much better chance to make myself the number one at my new club. "But I'll also be happy if he stays as he is a good friend and a great guy. I will enjoy the competition and I won't complain or sulk if I'm not the automatic first choice. I'll co-operate whatever happens because the club's success is the main thing. "I'm sure that friendly competition would help both of us and we will support each other. We've known each other for a long time and we get on well, so it's not a problem. "Besides, at a club like Celtic there are an awful lot of matches to play in. You have the league, the Scottish Cup, the League Cup and European games and the club must compete on every front. I believe we can both play and get enough matches under our belts. "For now, though, I'm just looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates for pre-season training and, hopefully, everything will go well." Zaluska will join up with Celtic next month after he returns from holiday and Poland's summer tour of South Africa. Meanwhile, the agent of Champions League winner Sylvinho has claimed Celtic are likely to miss out on his signature following Gordon Strachan's departure as manager.
