The club have a 12 month option on Mark Wilson and he wants to encourage them to take it up Mark Wilson is keen to use the next few months to show that he is back to his best and win himself another deal to keep him at Parkhead. The full-back is out of contract in the summer but the club has the option to retain his services for a further 12 months. Wilson's Celtic career has been blighted by injury but, now fully fit again, he is keen to show that he can have a big part to play in the club's future. He said: "I'd love to be here, I'd love to stay at Celtic for as long as they want to keep me here. I love this club and I love everything about it. My contract is up in the summer and there is a year's option in Celtic's favour so we will need to sit down and discuss that soon and see what's going to happen. Everything is in the club's favour, I can't talk to other clubs just now. I just need to wait and see what Celtic have to say." Wilson is not the sort of player to be knocking on Neil Lennon's door anytime soon and says he is happy to wait until Celtic have strengthened their lead at the top of the SPL before broaching the subject of the option of staying. He went on: "I've not had a chance to have a chat with the manager because the games are coming thick and fast just now. I think it would be the wrong time to go into it too much. I'm sure, over the coming months, we will sit down and talk about it. Obviously you want to know what's happening. I've got a family and need to know what's best for the family. But the games are coming quickly and it's important that we win the games coming up. Maybe once we've got a wee lead in the league, that will be the time to chat to him. I'm enjoying my football just now and I'm certainly enjoying it under Neil and the coaching team here. It's a really good atmosphere and I really enjoy coming to work in the mornings now. Maybe that is showing on the pitch. I've got a good group of players playing around me and the medical team seems to understand my position with injuries. Everything is going well for me just now and I'm happy that I'm in the team and we are winning."
