Mark Wilson feels Celtic have given some hope to their beleaguered supporters following their winning Scottish Premier League run-in.[LNB] Celtic won all eight SPL games under interim manager Neil Lennon to finish the season six points behind champions Rangers.[LNB]Their Active Nation Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Ross County overshadowed their initial winning form but their response to that upset was excellent.[LNB]"We had to do that and it was always the objective when Neil got the manager's job," Wilson told the Huddle Online.[LNB]"We had to get a wee bit of pride back, reduce the gap and try and get the fans back on our side again.[LNB]"When Neil came in we knuckled down, knew what we had to do and we wanted to push Rangers all the way.[LNB]"The Scottish Cup is a massive disappointment of course, but to get eight wins in a row is some feat. Especially after the split when you play Rangers here and Hearts and Dundee United away."
