We meet again

Neil Lennon knows what Jeffers can do to a side Neil Lennon knows all about Francis Jeffers ahead of the game at Fir Park. Lennon was captain at Parkhead in 2005 when Jeffers had a short loan spell at Ibrox. The former Everton and Arsenal striker returned to Scotland earlier this month to sign for Motherwell and scored his first goal for Stuart McCall's side in the recent 2-1 win at Aberdeen. Lennon is well aware of the threat the Englishman could pose which could put the brakes on the road to the SPL title. Lennon said: "I know him, he was at Rangers. It's a good bit of business for Motherwell to bring someone of his experience to the club. He is a good player and knows where the goal is. He's crafty, he flits in and out of games and suddenly pops up with a goal. He's already made his mark, he's scored against Aberdeen so he is someone we will need to keep an eye on.'' Beram Kayal is suspended for today's game while Freddie Ljungberg will miss the game as he is carrying a calf problem and will only resume training next week. However, Celtic remain strong favourites to cement their place at the top of the SPL. Even if Rangers win their two games in hand, Celtic will still be top of the league by the grace of two points. Motherwell, for their part, have blown hot and cold recently and after being thrashed 6-0 against Rangers at Ibrox they picked up maximum points away to Aberdeen and against Lanarkshire rivals Hamilton at home. However, it was back to square one when they were beaten at home by struggling St Mirren in midweek but Lennon expects a tough afternoon. The manager said: "They had a bad result at Ibrox and bounced back with two decent results against Aberdeen and Hamilton. I'm sure Stuart will be disappointed by the way they played on Wednesday night. They didn't do themselves justice. But we know they will be up for the game. It's live on television, there should be a good crowd there and the players will realise that they probably let their manager down and he will be looking for a reaction from them. Fir Park has always been a difficult place to get a result and I can't see Sunday being any different.''
