The striker became Tony Mowbray's first acquisition as Celtic boss when he completed a move, reported to be worth £3.8million, from Nancy this week. Fortune spent the second half of last season playing under Mowbray while on loan at West Brom and had offers to remain in the Premier League before finally opting for the Glasgow giants. And Venus has told Celtic fans they can now look forward to plenty of goals from the striker next season, as they attempt to wrest the title from Rangers. "I'm sure Marc will be a good acquisition for this club and it would be great if he could get a few minutes under his belt on Sunday," Venus told the club's official website. "The supporters will see a good all-round team player with Marc. "He is someone who leads the line well and can hold the ball up. He has nice feet and is very conscientious about his own game. "He wants to score more goals and I think he believes we can help him do that. He wants to score more regularly and I'm confident he'll be an excellent player for Celtic." Celtic are in Australia for Mowbray's first game in charge against Brisbane Roar this weekend and Venus says the new management team are relishing the opportunity to have a proper look at the squad they inherited from Gordon Strachan. He said: "In Australia, you will see the boys getting some minutes under their belt in a hard game. "We don't want to push them too hard but they will be given the chance to improve their fitness. "As the weeks go on, I also expect a lot of the younger boys to be given a chance because we have a lot of games coming up. That will give us a chance to assess them in a game situation. "We will be able to learn more about the team as we go along. At the moment, we're bedding everyone in and things will change gradually. We just want them to relax and play football. "We will look at the strengths and weaknesses of the players and see where they can fit in. Our system might change from time to time as well. I always think the best teams can adapt."
