Things can get better
Kris Commons is not doing too bad since he signed but the pressure is on to keep his form improving Johan Mjallby was full of praise for Kris Commons after his brace sank Hamilton 2-0 on Saturday. However, he still wants to see more from the midfielder. The Parkhead assistant manager was on media duties in place of manager Neil Lennon, who started a four-game touchline ban. The game that was going nowhere until four minutes from the half-time whitsle, when Commons sent a wonderful volley from 25 yards past Hamilton keeper Tomas Cerny. Just after the break, Accies defender David Elebert put the ball on a plate for Commons to take his Celtic tally to five in eight games since signing from Derby near the end of January. Mjallby said: "He is a great signing. He is an important player for us and it is not only his goals. He can strike the ball well, he is very good to have when it comes to set pieces. Hopefully this run is going to continue with him chipping in with goals and hopefully he will keep fit and improve."
